Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 31, 2026

Florida Private Providers (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides private provider plan review and building inspection services in Florida. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information You Give Us

We collect information you choose to send us through our website forms:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, subject, and message.
  • Plan submissions and offer requests: your name, company name, email address, phone number, project address, project type, the service you’re interested in, your message, and any plan or construction document you upload (PDF, DWG, DXF, or image files).
  • Job applications: the position you’re applying for, your name, email address, phone number, city or county, Florida licenses and certifications, your résumé (PDF or Word document), and your message.

We also collect information you give us outside the website, such as when you sign a service agreement, call us, or email us. This can include project details, permit information, and billing details.

Information Collected Automatically

  • IP address on form submissions. When you submit a form, we record the IP address it came from. We use it only to detect spam and fraud and to limit repeated submissions. For that limit, we temporarily store a one-way hashed version of your IP address for up to 15 minutes.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard logs of requests to the site. These can include IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request.

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools on this website.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your questions and send you quotes
  • Review your plans and provide our inspection and plan review services
  • Coordinate with local building departments on your project
  • Evaluate job applications and contact applicants
  • Invoice for and administer services under our service agreements
  • Protect our website and forms against spam, fraud, and abuse
  • Meet our legal, licensing, and record-keeping obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to run our business:

  • Building departments and government agencies: when required to provide private provider services under Florida Statute 553.791, or when required by law.
  • Service providers: companies that host our website and deliver our email. They may process your information only to provide those services to us.
  • Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety or those of others.
  • Business transfers: if our business is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under the same protections described here.

Plan files and résumés you upload are stored in a private location on our server that is not publicly accessible. They are also emailed to the staff members who handle them.

Third-Party Services on Our Website

Some parts of our website load content from other companies. When your browser loads that content, those companies receive your IP address and basic browser information, and their own privacy policies apply:

  • Google Fonts (Google LLC) supplies the fonts used on every page.
  • Google Maps (Google LLC) shows our office location on the Contact page. Google may set cookies when the map loads.
  • Google Reviews (Google LLC): our homepage shows reviews from our Google Business Profile. Reviewers’ names and profile photos are provided and hosted by Google.
  • jsDelivr supplies the code for the review and logo carousels on our homepage.

Links to LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Google Maps take you to those services, which have their own privacy practices.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Our website uses very few:

  • Form status cookies (fpp_contact_flash, fpp_plan_flash, fpp_career_flash), set by us. These show a “message sent” or error notice after you submit a form when JavaScript is turned off in your browser. They expire after 30 to 60 seconds.
  • Login cookies (wordpress_*, wp-settings-*), set by us. These keep our staff signed in to the website’s admin area. They are not set for visitors.
  • Google cookies (for example NID), set by Google through the embedded map on our Contact page. Google controls how long they last.

We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though the Contact page map may not display.

How Long We Keep Information

  • Contact messages: up to 2 years after our last communication with you.
  • Plan submissions and uploaded plans: for the length of the project and as long as required by Florida law and our licensing record-keeping obligations. If a submission doesn’t become a project, we delete it within 2 years.
  • Job applications and résumés: up to 1 year after we receive them, unless you’re hired, in which case they become part of your employment file.
  • IP addresses recorded with form submissions: for as long as the submission they belong to.

Your Choices

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we have about you
  • Correct information that is wrong
  • Delete your information, unless we’re required to keep it by law or to complete services you’ve requested
  • Stop contacting you

To make a request, email lane@flppi.com or call (941) 210-1420. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. These include encrypted connections, private file storage, and limits on who can access submissions. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Changes take effect when they are posted.
